Riverside Puts The Brakes On Red-Light Cameras
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Riverside's City Council voted 5-2 Tuesday to pull the plug on its 18 red-light cameras.
The cameras, put up put up eight years ago, were supposed to reduce traffic collisions and bring in over $400,000 a year in ticket revenue.
But most years, the program was operating in the red.
The cameras will be turned off in 60 days.
