Registered sex offender arrested after recording dance performance on Temecula high school campus

A registered sex offender was arrested this week after he was found on a Temecula high school campus recording a dance performance, according to authorities.

They were dispatched to the Chaparral High School campus, located in the 27000 block of Nicolas Road, at around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a call from a concerned parent who said they saw a "suspicious individual," according to a release from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The caller said that the man, since identified as 36-year-old Temecula resident Blake Taylor White, was "seen recording a dance performance from a distance."

Deputies also learned that a student noticed that White "possibly had explicit photos on his cell phone and informed her parents."

Investigators identified him as the suspect after he left the campus. He was found the following the day and arrested on suspicion of being a sex registrant and trespassing on a school campus, the department release said. He remains behind bars in lieu of $100,000 bail.

As their investigation continues, detectives ask anyone who knows more to contact them at (951) 696-3000.
