Poll: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Popularity Doing Quick Plunge

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Anthony Weiner probably wishes Arnold Schwarzenegger would up and move to New York City.

A new field poll of registered voters suggests the former and future actor and ex-Governor of California couldn't become more unpopular if he tried.

The poll of registered voters shows 75 percent of voters have an "unfavorable" opinion of Schwarzenegger. Only 20 percent of those surveyed "like" him.

Actors and politicians, alike, live on their popularity ... it decides who gets re-elected and in the former/future actor's case...it decides who goes to their movies, buys their books, watches them on TV or buys their CDs.

Sorry, Arnie. Right now, Californians ain't buying.

Due, obviously, to his disclosure of a love child, with a woman who was hired by him and friends with his wife no less, isn't helping those poll numbers.

The poll showed Schwarzenegger really finds a lot of lost love in LA County. It's the county that gave him his highest unfavorable score.

The former governor polled poorly with just about every demographic. He especially scored low with women (only 17 percent approval)  and lower with Latinos (15.)

The survey has a margin of statistical error of plus or minus 4.5 percent.
