Plane Registered To OC Man Crashes In San Luis Obispo
SAN LUIS OBISPO (AP) — Two people have been injured in the crash of a single-engine airplane on a ranch in San Luis Obispo.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the pilot radioed controllers at San Luis County Regional Airport that he had an emergency and was going down around 9:50 a.m. Thursday.
The plane then struck trees and crashed four miles northwest of the airport.
Gregor says both people aboard the craft were taken to a hospital but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
FAA records show the plane is a 1943 Aeronca 0-58B registered to an individual in Newport Beach.
