Photographer Accused Of Threatening To Deport Korean Models If They Refused Sex With Him

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A photographer who placed ads for body paint models in Korean language newspapers has been arrested on suspicion of trying to force women into having sex with him and then threatening to have them deported if they refuse, and police believe he may have more victims.

Jung Park, 41, was arrested on Oct. 26, Los Angeles police said. Park is free after posting $100,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles County jail records.

Police say a woman met with Park after seeing an ad for a body paint model. Park asked her to disrobe and pose for nude photos, then began to inappropriately touch her and tried to rape her, police said.

When she refused his sexual advances, police say Park threatened to report her to Immigration and Naturalization Services.

Several more women have come forward and reported similar experiences with park during photo sessions and interviews at his place of business, police said.

The advertisements were listed in Korean newspapers, websites and radio stations, which were run by Simple Touch Entertainment.

"I really don't want to be associated with a rapist, or someone that's threatening girls," an anonymous model said. "I hope he gets what he deserves. Innocent women, trying to make a living, and taking advantage of them; that's not right."

Park posted bail on Wednesday night, and was released from jail.
