PAWS/LA Opens Its Doors To Needy Pet Owners

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The non-profit PAWS/LA is opening it doors to all needy pet owners Tuesday for a special holiday distribution of food for dogs and cats.

The "Santa Paws Drive" is the first "virtual toy drive" for pets. Donate cash or gifts, and the Santa Paws elves will divide up the goodies and money and send them off to six shelters across the world.

To assist needy families struggling to feed their pets, the first 500 people in line at PAWS/LA will receive a month's supply of healthy dog or cat food made from organic, grass-fed beef thanks to a donation from Original Pet Food Company.
