Parade Watch Security Rounds Begin In Pasadena

PASADENA (CBS) — Parade Watch begins Wednesday in Pasadena.

Pasadena police will make the rounds to make sure motor homes, trailers and other larger vehicles parked along the route of Saturday's Rose Parade to make sure parade-goers are complying with regulations.

The 10th annual Parade Watch operation began as a security measure after the 2001 terrorist attacks.

"This program has allowed the Pasadena Police Department the opportunity to reach out to hundreds of people personally," Pasadena Police Chief Phillip Sanchez said.

KNX 1070's Ed Mertz reports.
