One Student Wounded In Stabbing At West Adams High

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — At least one person was transported to a hospital after a stabbing took place outside of West Adams High School in the Pico Union neighborhood of Central Los Angeles.

The victim, 18, was reportedly involved in an altercation of some sort prior to the stabbing across the street from the school located on 1500 West Washington Boulevard.

A later report from Los Angeles School Police Department officials disclosed that the victim was stabbed in the back, but is in stable condition and is expected to survive.

No suspects were said to be in custody, and authorities were seeking a possible student from the school between the ages of 15 and 16.
