Officials Search For Missing Woman Hiker, 56
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Officials Monday night looked for a missing hiker near Bronson Canyon.
The hiker is reportedly female and her car has been located, according to authorities.
The Los Angeles Fire Department is assisting the Los Angeles Police Department in the search near Griffith Park.
Officials say the missing woman is believed to be 56-years-old and she was believed to be walking her dog at the time of her disappearance.
Rescuers told reporters they were worried about the woman's condition because of Monday's excessive heat.
Meanwhile, a 64-year-old Culver City man is reportedly missing or lost in the Joshua Tree National Park.
Authorities say Edward Rosenthal set off for a one-day hike on Friday and hasn't been seen since.
