Missing 11-Year-Old Pacoima Girls Found Safe
PACOIMA (AP) — Police have found two 11-year-old girls who ventured off to a San Fernando Valley park at night and never returned.
Los Angeles police found Anna Lopez and Ruby Zapata around 9 a.m. Friday, about 12 hours after they left home without permission to go to Pacoima Park. They were found in a nearby apartment.
The girls were the focus of an extensive search by LAPD Foothill Area officers, who set up a command post in the northeast San Fernando Valley neighborhood.
