Newly Released Security Video Shows Bel Air Burglary Suspects Ransacking Homes

BEL AIR (CBSLA.com) — New security footage has been released of burglary suspects targeting two Bel Air homes over Labor Day weekend.

Suspects are seen knocking on the door of one residence to make sure no one is home before breaking in and can be heard talking about what to take and telling each other to hurry up.

Just down the street, security video shows suspects ransacking a child's bedroom and a home office.

Three suspects can then be seen running out of the house with a victim's Louis Vuitton duffel bags filled with jewelry and other belongings.

Police say in both security videos there are five suspects, three men and two women who wait in a white SUV.

The victims were too distraught to speak on camera.

However, neighbors say the community is working together to be more vigilant.

"I'm sure people will respond by being more cautious," one resident said.

An LAPD spokesperson says there has been an increase in home burglaries in West Los Angeles over the past month. Police ask that anyone with information about these incidents call the LAPD immediately.
