The LAPD says a Georgia court issued a protective order for the Greensboro children after their Carolyn Hogan, 28, left the state with them. Authorities there were concerned about the mother's mental health and her ability to care for the youngsters.
A police statement said Hogan and her children were last seen at the Union Rescue Mission on Tuesday morning.
Authorities have not yet said whether Hogan will face any charges.
