Man Shot To Death In Inglewood

INGLEWOOD (CBS) — Police said a man was shot to death in Inglewood.

The fatal shooting was reported at 11:17 a.m. Saturday on West Olive Street near Cedar Avenue, Lt. Steve Overly of the Inglewood Police Department said.

The victim had just gotten out of his vehicle when the driver of another car — possibly a gray or black Ford pickup truck — pulled up and shot him before fleeing, Overly said.

The man, who was hit multiple times in his chest and back, was declared dead at a hospital, Overly said. Police said the motive for the shooting appears to be gang-related.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to contact Inglewood police at (310) 412 5246.
