Man Shot And Killed In Pasadena Identified
PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A 39-year-old man who was shot and killed Friday afternoon in Pasadena was identified by authorities on Saturday.
Authorities said Monte Russell was was shot in a parking lot on the 1700 block of East Washington Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Russell was in the area to get a haircut, the Pasadena Star-News reported. The victim's mother, Yvonne Trice, told the newspaper her son had a troubled past and was involved in gangs, but had recently turned his life around and was working as a tile installer and had three daughters.
No information on a suspect had been released as of Saturday.
