Man Free On Bail After Suspect DUI Crash Killed Passenger
IRVINE (AP) — Police say a drunken driver crashed his SUV into a light pole in Orange County during a rainstorm, killing a passenger.
Irvine police Lt. Barry Aninag says Tapu Aniceto Sitagata ran away after Tuesday's crash and he was arrested about a half-block away.
The Los Angeles Times says the 27-year-old Santa Ana man has been booked for investigation of felony drunken driving and hit-and-run. Sitagata is free on bail.
