LAPD Offer Car Seat Installation Clinic For Parents

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Today the LAPD gave parents tips on ensuring their kids are secured safely in their car seats.

LAPD Traffic officers held a free safety program off of Whitsett Avenue in North Hollywood today.  They pulled over parents and directed them to a parking lot to make sure they had a car seat and that it was correctly  installed.  They instructed parents on how to strap in children the right way.

Traffic injury specialists estimate Experts estimate 7 out of 10 car seats are incorrectly installed.
