LA County Fair kicks off this weekend at Fairplex in Pomona. Here's what to expect.
The Los Angeles County Fair is kicking off for the summer season on Thursday at Fairplex in Pomona, bringing back some crowd favorites, including live performances and an extensive menu.
This year's theme, Play Your Way, aims at celebrating recreation, imagination and different ways to let loose. The fair will feature petting farms, rides, live performances, a roller rink and hundreds of food vendors.
The LA County Fair has been open since 1922 and sits on 500 acres of land. It has become one of the top destinations for more than 750,000 guests and visitors each year.
Tickets for the LA County Fair
Tickets for the LA County Fair can be purchased online or directly at the fair.
A single-day ticket online costs between $18-25 for adults and $15 for children. A single-day ticket at the gate costs $32 for adults and $17 for children.
Children under the age of 5 are free every day.
When is the LA County Fair
The LA County Fair runs from May 7 to May 31, Thursdays through Sundays and on Memorial Day.
Food at the LA County Fair
The LA County Fair offers an array of different flavors, including savory, sweet and spicy. The fair is known for its over-the-top dishes and daring creations.
This year's fair will offer several new items on the menu like Spam wonton tacos, smoked blooming onion, kimchi quesadilla, shawarma cone, PB&J cheeseburger, candied pickles and fried mangonada.
Concert series at the LA County Fair
The concert series at the fair will combine classic country sounds, Latin culture and comedy. There will be eight nights of entertainment during the series.

Attractions at the LA County Fair
The Ray Cammack Show will return for its 40th year as the official fun zone of the fair. There will also be parades every Friday at 5 p.m. featuring bands and the Budweiser Clydesdales.
Goats, sheep, mini cows and other animals will be at the fair's petting farms. Pigs, lambs, ducks and goats will participate in races throughout the day.
