KFWB On Your Corner: Redondo Beach Pier

(KFWB 980) - The Redondo Beach Pier is one the most recognizable landmark in the beach cities. And it has a storied past.

It was built as part of a group of shipping wharfs in the turn of the 19th century, and ultimately the horseshoe-shaped pier became the main tourist attraction for the city. Pat Aust is the former fire chief for Redondo Beach who is currently a 5-year council member and somewhat of a history buff.
