Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 4)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) —The hot and steamy weather continues for Southern California.

We have a ridge of high pressure over the Southwest and it will continue to build through the rest of the week.

While the humidity will pull back a bit, .it's still going to feel very sticky.  The warmest spots will be in the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Gabriel Valley, and the San Fernando Valley.

There will also be a slight chance for mountain and desert thunderstorms through the rest of the week.

While there will be a brief break from the heat on Saturday, things will warm again early next week.  However the next round of heat will be dry with an off-shore flow.

It looks like Mother Nature forgot we should be winding Summer down.

Basin - low 90s

Beaches - low 80s

Valleys -near 100

Mountains - mid 70s

Deserts - upper 90s to near 100
