Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 7)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Welcome back to Monday. It was a lovely weekend with afternoon highs in the 70s and low 80s.

Look for a nice start to your week. Today there is still a weak coastal eddy bringing us low cloud cover. However, a trough pushing to the east and another developing low that will also shift to the east are bringing us an off-shore flow to battle out the eddy. The result will be daytime highs similar to yesterday, but maybe a degree or two warmer.

The off-shore flow should strengthen Tuesday with high pressure building from the west, so look for some warmer weather.

Things will mellow out for the rest of the week with more of a typical on-shore flow. We can expect low clouds in the morning and hazy sunshine in the afternoon, with temperatures near average (mid 70s downtown and upper 70s to 80s in the valley).
