Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 20)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Some patchy low clouds, otherwise a nice Friday for the Southland.

The low clouds will keep temperatures in check along the coast, however a high pressure ridge will sit off the West coast giving inland cities a bump in our temperatures Friday. The ridge slides to the east Saturday ahead of some cooling for Sunday and Monday.

A trough moves in and a couple of short waves traveling through the trough could kick up our marine layer enough for some drizzle. It will definitely be cooler and we could get some gusty winds. A ridge builds back in by the middle of the week to bring some warmer temperatures.

Coastal - upper 60s
Basin - low to mid 70s
Valleys - upper 70s
Deserts - upper 70s
Mountains - low 60s
