Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Dec. 19)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — There's one more wave of energy moving in before things settle down for a few days.

Expect mostly cloudy skies through the day Friday. By the afternoon, that weak frontal boundary passes and there is the very slight chance at a shower.

However, at the most expect a trace to .10 inch (but closer to a trace) of rain.

Into the weekend high pressure strengthens and things start warming. There will be an off-shore flow developing with possibly advisory level winds by Monday and Tuesday.

Temperatures will reach into the 70s and 80s so the holiday week is going to start on a "summery" note.

By Christmas, an inside slider moves into the west coast and that means some cooler weather for the holiday.
