Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 12)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — One storm down and one more to go! We have a break today with just a mix of some clouds and sunshine. It will be a chilly day with temperatures well below average.

The next system is headed our way. It should hit the central coast later this afternoon and evening. We get our first chance of rain and snow early Friday morning.

While the precipitation forecast on this system looks to be just a bit lighter than the last system, it has a colder core to it, so we will see some lower snow levels.

There is the possibility of getting snow down to the grapevine at about 4,000 feet.

This system also has some lift to it, so there is a better chance for a thunderstorm. Rainfall totals should be anywhere from .25" to .75", with higher totals for the foothills.

We will dry out pretty quickly, and by Saturday, we will have sunny and dry weather. It will stay cool until the beginning of next week when high pressure builds in and we start feeling like spring.
