Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 11)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Rain will stick around through the middle of the day Wednesday. We are expecting .4" to 1.25" when all is said and done with this system.

Snow levels are going to drop down to 5,000 feet with accumulation above 6,000 feet at about 5" to 8", which means the Grapevine should be in good shape for this first system.

Watch out for some gusty winds early on. The best dynamics for any thunderstorms will be early in the day. The instability will be confined to coastal areas.

The forecast models for the next system continue to flip flop. One says a lot of rain, while another says a little rain.

We'll get a better idea after the late runs tonight. Nevertheless, for the next system, we'll see the snow levels dropping down to the Grapevine with some colder air in place.

It's pretty late in the season to be getting this cold system, but be prepared for travel troubles later on Friday.
