Here Comes The Rain Again! Another Storm System Moves In
LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — California could see another inch of rain along with gale-force winds at the coast and heavy snow in the mountains as another storm hits the state.
A storm on Wednesday dumped about a half-inch of rain in Los Angeles and spawned a tornado that ripped roof tiles from homes in rural Northern California.
The National Weather Service says a chance of showers will turn to rain and snow by Thursday night and continue into Friday.
Flood watches and advisories have been issued for Central and Northern California.
Southern and Central California mountains could get a foot or more of snow and the valleys could see winds gusting to 60 mph.
The waters off of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties could get 14-foot waves and gale-force winds.
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist Josh Rubenstein says another cold front will also move in this weekend.
