Her Pink Nose Has Helped Raise A Lot Of Green For Breast Cancer Awareness

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – Juliana Figueiredo calls it her "constant companion."

It's a pink nose and she wears it to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.

She turned her own battle with breast cancer into inspiration for others.

CBS2's Health Reporter Lisa Sigell profiled her last month. (Click here for that story).

She has the pink nose with her on a walk with a best friend, on the couch with a new friend, or heading into radiation. Not only that, she's created other pink noses and hands them out with scarves and pins.

Since Sigell's profile, Figueiredo has continued to help others due to generous donations from viewers. Sigell and Figueiredo want to say "thanks!"

Viewers have also sent Figueiredo pics of themselves wearing the noses -- her faves, the pilot, the flight attendants and the kids.

If you would like to support Figueiredo's Pink Nose Way campaign, go to her GoFundMe account.

Figueiredo is also having a fundraiser/party at Samba Restaurant in Redondo Beach (207 N. Harbor Drive, CA 310-374-3411) Friday evening Nov. 20 at 9 p.m.
