Help Needed To ID Men In Brentwood Takeover Bank Robbery
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities asked for the public's help Friday to identify two gunmen who staged a takeover robbery of a OneWest Bank branch in Brentwood.
The suspects entered the bank at 12401 Wilshire Blvd., near Centinela Avenue and the border with Santa Monica, at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the FBI said.
One of the men approached a teller and demanded money at gunpoint while the other jumped over the counter and opened a cash drawer. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the men fled the area of the bank.
Both robbers were black men. One appeared to be in his 20s, between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-3, with a thin build and wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, a light-colored tie, dark pants, a black baseball cap and glasses. Witnesses said he had a soft voice.
The second robber was described as in his 30s, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot7, with a medium build and clean shaven face. He wore a black long-sleeve shirt, dark pants and a black visor.
