Head To Award-Winning 'Cafe Rio' For Cinco De Mayo

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Jennifer Burns from Cafe Rio visited KCAL9 Tuesday to dish up some delicious pico de gallo.

Cafe Rio was recently awarded the Sandelman & Associates' 2011 Quick-Track Awards of Excellence for the second straight year.

The chain, which has seven locations in Southern California, beat out some of the nation's strongest competition, including Chipotle, In-N-Out Burger, Chic-fil-A and Pei Wei.

Cafe Rio doesn't use microwaves or freezers and every dish, sauce and dessert is made from scratch. Customers can even watch their tortillas being made.
