HazMat Team Confirms South El Monte Possible Ammonia Leak Report Was False Alarm
SOUTH EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — A HazMat team Wednesday confirmed a possible ammonia leak in South El Monte was a false alarm.
The incident was reported just before 6:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Chico Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Nearby buildings were evacuated.
A HazMat team arrived and confirmed the area was safe.
