Goldenwest Street Remains Closed As Crews Clean Up Oil Spill
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS) — Planning on going to Hungtington Beach to see the big Fourth Of July parade? Don't take Goldenwest Street.
The road, which links the 405 Freeway to Huntington Beach, will remain closed through Monday.
Crews have spent the weekend cleaning up hundreds of gallons of crude oil that bubbled up from a break in an underground pipeline on Goldenwest Street Friday.
Repairs to the pipe are expected to start Tuesday.
