Police arrested three people in connection with an alleged organized retail theft operation taking place at stores across Los Angeles County.

The three suspects, identified as Ruben Lepiz Campos, 19, Rogelio Soriano, 27, and Cheyla Ramirez, 49, were linked to at least five grand thefts that happened in Glendale, and five that happened within other city jurisdictions in January and February, according to the Glendale Police Department.

Police say that the stores they stole from include Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls and TJ Maxx. The suspects are believed to have stolen large amounts of merchandise that they then sold for profit.

Investigators say that they observed Ramirez and Camps when they shoplifted from a TJ Maxx in Glendale on March 3, which led to their arrest. They recovered about $2,000 in stolen merchandise at the time.

While further investigation, they found more merchandise inside of Ramirez's car, tools used to defeat security sensors and a notebook detailing the alleged resale transactions, police said.

Soriano was arrested on Tuesday after officers served search warrants at two different Los Angeles homes. Investigators found $6,700 in stolen merchandise during those operations, said Glendale Police Department's statement.

All three suspects were booked on suspicion of organized retail theft and associated crimes, police said.
