Glendale nursing assistant charged in elder sexual abuse case

Hoping to find additional victims, detectives from the Glendale Police Department released a photo of the certified nursing assistant accused of sexually assaulting an elderly patient.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Larry Stanfill, a 20-year-old man from Tujunga, with multiple charges related to sexually abusing a person who is seriously disabled or medically incapacitated and institutionalized for medical treatment.

He's been released after posting bail. 

Glendale police officers arrested Stanfill on Feb. 21 for allegedly sexually assaulting a patient at the Glendale Post Acute Center at least twice in November 2024. Detectives believe he worked at the following convalescent facilities:

  • Chandler Convalescent Hospital in Glendale between August 2021 and May 2023  
  • Pasadena Park Healthcare and Wellness Center in Pasadena between May 2023 and August 2024 

Police said he also worked at a facility in El Monte before August 2024 and October 2024 but did not name the location. 

Detectives urged any additional victims or people with information on the case to contact the Glendale Police Department's Assaults Unit at (818) 548-3106.
