LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters across the Southland remained on alert Thursday as dangerous fire conditions develop.
A red flag warning will remain in effect through 8 p.m. for the the majority of Southern California and wind advisories for the Inland Empire and Orange County will be in place until the afternoon.
Wind gusts could be up to 60 mph in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Humidity levels, which dipped to the single digits Wednesday, will remain low Thursday and Friday.
The strong winds combined with the well above average temperatures could create a hazardous fire weather environment, the NWS said.
Firefighters were on call overnight watching for hot spots where 20 acres burned in Rialto.
