DUI Suspect In Custody After Leading Police On Pursuit From Burbank To South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man wanted for driving under the influence was in custody Wednesday after leading police on a pursuit from Burbank to South Los Angeles.
The 50-minute chase began around 12:40 a.m. on Victory Boulevard at Haskell, according to officials.
The suspect led police across several freeways with speeds up to 80 mph, authorities said.
The pursuit ended when he crashed into a parked vehicle at 120th Street and Broadway and ran into a nearby backyard.
Officers located him under a tent.
The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital for unspecified medical treatment.
