Driver Plunges 40 Feet Off Bridge In Long Beach
LONG BEACH (CBS) — Authorities Sunday said a 64-year-old driver plunged about 40 feet onto a bike path after crashing through a guardrail on Long Beach's 7th Street bridge.
Firefighters freed the woman from the wreckage after the roughly 9:20 p.m. accident Saturday, Long Beach firefighter Steve Yamamoto said.
She was taken to a local hospital with injuries to her elbow, Yamamoto added.
