LAKE ELSINORE (CBS) — Deputies thwarted four suspected beer thieves at a convenience store Saturday, authorities reported.
The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. at the ampm market at 250 Diamond Drive, sheriff's Sgt. Peter Giannakakos said.
The store clerk told deputies that three men entered the store, grabbed three cases of beer and fled, with one of them pushing the clerk aside when he tried to stop them, Giannakakos said.
Deputies came upon the four suspects as they were trying to drive away from the store's parking lot and arrested them without incident, he said. The store clerk was not injured.
Authorities arrested Tanner Bradley Kalic, 18; Aaron Joseph Raby, 21; Alexander Becerra, 18; and a 17-year-old male juvenile.
