'Come & Get It' At The 123rd Annual Orange County Fair!
COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — The Orange County Fair celebrates its 123rd year Friday!
The annual celebration will run Wednesdays though Sundays until August 11 at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa.
This year's theme is "Come & Get It" and features familiar fair favorites such as pig races, carnival rides, acrobats, fair food and a sideshow-type exhibit, officials said.
The fair will also feature Summer in the Cities, a nightly celebration of Orange County.
Fairgoers were taking advantage of free admission and parking during Opening Hour (July 12, Noon-1 p.m.).
The following promotions are also available on Friday through midnight:
-Seniors Day: $6 admission for guests 60 and older, as well as free Ferris wheel and merry-go-round rides all day
-$2 Taste of Fair Food: Sample Fair food Noon-4 p.m.
-$2 Rides & $2 Games: Sold until 4 p.m.
The excitement continues through the night with concerts and action sports. Colbie Caillat kicks off the Toyota Summer Concert Series at the Pacific Amphitheatre at 7:45 p.m.
A tribute band — Hotel California: A Salute to The Eagles — will rock the stage at 8:30 p.m. in The Hangar, and X-Treme Freestyle Moto-X will stun the crowds in the Action Sports Arena at 8 p.m.

Sunday, July 14 (Open 10 a.m.-Midnight)

-Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez in The Hangar (5 p.m.)
-SummerFist VI - Mixed Martial Arts in the Action Sports Arena (6 p.m.)
-The Go-Go's in the Pacific Amphitheater (8 p.m.)
-Lucha Libre in The Hangar (8:45 p.m.)
The Orange County Transportation Authority is bringing back the OC Fair Express bus service with locations across the county for just $2 each way.
Buses will run hourly between approximately 2:30 p.m. and midnight on Fridays and 9:30 a.m. and midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. Half hour service will be provided at the Fullerton Park and Ride, Santa Ana Depot and Goldenwest Transportation Center.
Riders will also receive a coupon valid for $3 admission to the fair – a savings of $8 off the regular ticket price.
