ROSEMEAD (CBSLA.com) — Someone in Rosemead might be, quite literally, sitting on more than $1 million.
Powerball winners have 180 days to claim their prize and someone in Rosemead won more than $1 million on September 13.
The winning ticket that matched all 5 of the Powerball numbers, but not the Powerball, is worth $1,098,624 to be exact.
The winning ticket was purchased at Rosemead Supermarket (8815 East Valley Boulevard). The winner matched the numbers 1, 6, 16, 37 and 53 missing only the Powerball number 27.
The California Lottery reminds the winner to sign the back of their ticket in ink, keep it in a safe place and visit any of the nine Lottery District Offices as soon as possible.
No one matched all six numbers correctly in Wednesday night's Powerball draw, the jackpot for Saturday night's draw has grown to an estimated $50 million.
Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
