Stolen car flees from CHP officers during rainy pursuit in East LA
California Highway Patrol officers were in pursuit of a stolen car during rainy weather in Los Angeles County on Saturday evening.
The chase began when Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies were responding to reports of a stolen Toyota Prius in East LA, authorities told CBS Los Angeles.
At some point, CHP officers took control of the chase after LASD went into surveillance mode due to the dangerous nature of the pursuit, paired with the wet weather.
Before the suspect got away from officers, the pursuit traveled through Carson and Norwalk.
It's unclear if CHP officers were ever able to relocate the suspect.
