Chick-fil-A To Open Hollywood Restaurant In 2011

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Chick-fil-A has gone Hollywood.

A crew demolished a shuttered Carl's Jr. Restaurant (nicknamed Carl's Jr. Jr. by neighbors because it was a smaller than most restaurants) Thursday at 6750 W. Sunset Blvd., at the corner of Highland Avenue, to make way for the new Chick-fil-A location.

In the spirit of one famous California burger-and-fries joint, Hollywood's Chick-fil-A location will be a drive-thru only restaurant with some outdoor seating when it opens in May 2011.

Chick-fil-A has made a slow but steady march into the L.A. market, opening its first restaurant in the city proper in August near USC at 3758 S. Figureoa. Chick-fil-A operates 40 locations in California.
