Car Slams Into Hydrant, Mailbox, Tree In Del Rey
DEL REY (CBSLA.com) — A car lost control and slammed into a fire hydrant, a mailbox and a tree in Del Rey early Thursday morning.
The crash happened on Inglewood Boulevard near Culver at about 3:30 a.m.
The driver was trapped for a short time before firefighters were able to extricate him.
The hydrant, which flew about a hundred feet into a yard down the street, uncapped a geyser that had to be shut down by firefighters.
The driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
