Calif. Supreme Court Declines To Hear Appeal In Conrad Murray Conviction

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The California Supreme Court declined Wednesday to hear an appeal by Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop star Michael Jackson.

Murray was convicted in November 2011 and sentenced to four years behind bars for giving the 50-year-old Jackson a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol.

Jackson died June 25, 2009, while he was in Los Angeles and under Murray's care, preparing for 50 sold-out concerts in London.

Murray was released from jail in October.
