Boy, 11, Missing In Long Beach Found Safe

LONG BEACH (CBS) — Officials in Long Beach are asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 11-year-old boy.

(UPDATE: Saturday 4 p.m.) Edgar Vargas has been found safe and sound.

Edgar Vargas was last seen Friday at 10:30 p.m. at his home in the 400 block of South Street in Long Beach.

Family members said the boy disappeared following a disagreement.

Vargas is described as a Latino male, with brown eyes and black hair.

He stands 5 feet tall and weighs about 110 pounds. He is also described as "husky."

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with the letters DC in blue on the front. He was also clad in black shorts, black shoes. Vargas has braces on his teeth.

Anyone who has seen Vargas or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Long Beach Police Department or 911 immediately.
