Body Of Missing Swimmer Found On OC Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH (AP) — Authorities say the body of one of two young men who disappeared last week while swimming has washed up on an Orange County beach.

Huntington Beach Fire Department spokeswoman Martha Werth says someone walking on Bolsa Chica State Beach discovered the body Saturday morning.

The Orange County Coroner's Office lists the cause of death of 20-year-old Shao Moua as "apparent ocean drowning."

Moua and 24-year-old John Shua Lee, both of Banning, disappeared last Saturday after apparently getting caught in a rip current. Lifeguards, rescue boats and a helicopter searched for hours without success.

The men were with a group from the Laotian Evangelical Church attending a wedding.
