PACOIMA (CBS) — The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing 11-year-old boy.

David Juarez was last seen at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the front yard of his home in the 14000 block of Daventry Avenue, according to the LAPD.

Juarez's parents hoped he would return home on his own and did not report him missing until 4:30 p.m. Monday.

David was described as Latino with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 65 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information about David's whereabouts was urged to call the Foothill Station at (818) 756-8861.
