It's not funny; it's not funny at all. In Queens, an NYC "traffic agent" -- apparently, that's what they call them -- gave Nicholas Rappold a parking ticket for parking his Jeep Cherokee on the wrong side of the street on a street-cleaning day. The New York Daily News reports that Rappold was sitting in the driver's seat at the time. No, he did not object: as you alredy can tell from the headline, he was dead.
The city says Rappold's Jeep's windows were heavily tinted, and the traffic agent couldn't see inside. His family says "It's really messed up." The Daily News says investigators think the 21-year-old may have O.D.'d
If you don't get the "Weekend at Bernie's" reference at the top of this post: it was a 1989 movie about a couple guys wo try to pass off their dead boss (above), as still alive. Incredibly, there also was a sequel. Both were 'comedies.'
BTW: the NYC cops say the family won't have to pay the fine. And they say Philadelphia is the City of Brotherly Love.
