LOS ANGELES (AP) — Residents across Southern California will see another day of unseasonable warmth before a low-pressure system brings a chance of rain at midweek.

The National Weather Service says temperatures Tuesday will range up to the 90s, and while highs elsewhere won't be quite as hot they'll still be above normal.

Downtown Los Angeles hit a record 89 degrees on Monday, among numerous records broken or tied statewide. The Presidents Day holiday saw big crowds flock to beaches.

A big change is expected overnight as high pressure causing the heat moves east and onshore flow returns, bringing cooler temperatures and a chance of rain.
