3 Alleged Gang Members Arrested For Beating Bicyclist
JURUPA VALLEY (CBS) — Three alleged gang members were arrested Friday as suspects in the vicious beating of a bike rider in Riverside County.
Daniel Delshawn Green, 19, Dequan Matthew Green, 26, and Daymen Qionel Tolbert, 20, all of Jurupa Valley, were taken into custody after Riverside County sheriff's deputies served search warrants at their respective residences, according to Sgt. Justin Rowan.
The three allegedly stopped a man riding his bike in the 5600 block of 29th Street on August 30 and demanded he turn the bike over.
Rowan said, "When the victim resisted, he was viciously assaulted. The victim was able to flee the scene [but] he received moderate injuries to his face."
Eyewitnesses reportedly identified the suspects and anti-gang personnel obtained warrants to search their property.
In addition to all being charged with conspiracy, attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and criminal street gang activity, Green was additionally charged when officials say meth was found at his residence. He was also charged for the drug possession.
Information regarding bail was not immediately available.
