2 Arrested, 2 Wanted After Jewelry Store Heist At Cerritos Mall
CERRITOS (AP) — Authorities say two men have been arrested after a jewelry store heist at the Los Cerritos Shopping Center.
Three men smashed jewelry display cases and grabbed an undisclosed amount of jewelry and ran to a getaway car driven by a fourth man, authorities said.
Deputies searched a Bellflower neighborhood near Bellflower Boulevard and Palm Street for the at-large suspects but called off the operation about 4 p.m., sheriff's deputies said.
Sheriff's deputies arrived at the mall just in time to see the suspect vehicle pulling away, sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker said.
A chase led to Palm Street and Bellflower Boulevard, where two men bailed out and ran, he said.
The driver kept going, sideswiping several vehicles near 91st Street and Bellflower before deputies arrested him near Rosecrans and Atlantic avenues.
