1 person in critical condition after police shooting in Echo Park
Parademics took one person to the hospital on Monday after officers from the Los Angeles Police Department opened fire in Echo Park.
Investigators said the shooting happened near a bus stop in the area of Cornado Street and Bellevue Avenue after officers received a call for a mentally ill man with a gun. Paramedics took the man to the hospital in a critical condition after the shooting.
Officers said they found a BB gun at the scene.
